Jordan Hamilton gets MVP of the Week award for West Asia Super League

Experienced American Jordan Hamilton (201-F-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al-Difaa Aljawie and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 34-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Sagesse (#3, 3-5) 89-85. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Al-Difaa is placed at 4th position in West Asia Super League. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 6 games and had just two victories. In the team's last game Hamilton had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al-Difaa's top player in his first season with the team. The University of Texas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hamilton is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.9rpg), assists (9th best: 4.4apg) and averages solid 57.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (207-F/C-1991) of second-ranked Tabiat. Buva impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Tabiat lost that game 78-92 to league's leader Al Riyadi (#1, 8-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tabiat still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Buva is a newcomer at Tabiat and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.9ppg (#5). He also registered 10.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Shabazz Muhammad (198-SF-1992) of Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (#3). Muhammad showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Muhammad's great performance the Sagesse lost 85-89 to #4 ranked Al-Difaa. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Sagesse not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Muhammad could try to bring Sagesse's a little bit higher in the standings. Muhammad has a very solid season. In 8 games in West Asia Super League he scored 16.8ppg. He also has 6.8rpg and a FGP of 61.0%.
